Georgia's Onsite Eye Care Service
We provide eye care for nursing homes and correctional institutions
Eye Care for Skilled Nursing Facilities
Our licensed optometrists provide onsite eye exams and eye glasses to residents in nursing and long-term care facilities. We treat residents for vision problems and provide medical management for eye diseases.
There is no cost to your facility for exam services. The exams are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurances. We also offer affordable and comfortable eye glasses for our patients.
Eye Care for Correctional Institutions
We provide onsite eye exams in prisons and correctional facilities. We treat inmates for vision problems, eye diseases, injuries, cataracts, glaucoma, and complications associated with diabetes or medical conditions.
We help facilities lower the expense and security risk associated with offsite consultations for eye care. We work closely with institutional health service departments and medical management companies.
Charles Schlievert, O.D.
Dr. Charles, our main provider, is a member of the Georgia Medical Directors Association and a correctional health professional with the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
Before Dr. Charles started RCS Vision, he owned an eye clinic in Atlanta, Georgia. During that time, he was fortunate to have the opportunity to help many wonderful and loyal patients. Since then he has worked with more than 70 nursing homes and prisons.
Dr. Charles is a contract eye care provider for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He provides eye care to privately owned prisons, institutions for detainees, and correctional facilities that are supervised by the Georgia Department of Corrections. He is also the contract optometrist for the United States Penitentiary in Atlanta.
